The single advantage 2008 has so far is XML based files and intel native_ I can't even get some Word Docs to open correctly in Office '08_

Otherwise - if you really want something compatible and Intel native and works great try iWork 2008_ So far any problems I ever have in Word 2008/2004 go away in Pages_

uberfu

I just purchased one (Apple TV) today. Thus, I don't believe I'm qualified to say what might have changed.

However, regarding the printer issue, I will say this... Get a printer that utilizes both a black and color cartridge. You'll be much happier.

Illuminator

@bigMoneyMIKE: Actually, oddly enough the black ink is only to make the colours mixed together from the colour cartridge well... More black, that's how most printers are these days.

Supposedly for "better quality" that actually meaning that even if all you ever do is print black and white documents, we're still gonna make you pay for colour and there's nothing you can do about it, so nah nah na nah nah, not to mention if you only ever print in black your ink drains faster because it has to mix all the primary colours to make black.

Oh and don't forget cleaning cycles, because logically the best way to clean a print head is to spray all the ink in your cartridge through it...

I used keep an old school b&w laser printer around just to print documents, then my college gave me a 1000 page per semester print credit.. Why IT students who submit everything online need 1000 pages I'm not sure.. But I usually just print off a book at the end of the semester. I think this semester will be the 3'rd book in the Dark Tower series, because my book club ripped me off and sent me 2 copies of 4.

Oh right.. this post was about the AppleTV... I was taught that if you have nothing nice to say, then say nothing at all.. So I will not comment on the crapple.. err AppleTV.

jackfrost132

Yay Genre sort. Because I use that so much on my iPod.

Okay, I admit I use the Genre menu on my iPod, but only because Cupertino still hasn't figured out a way to put podcasts under the Podcast menu. It's not like they're not tagged "Podcast" or anything. Just a bug that Jobsie & Co. have known about for more than a year but haven't fixed.

Think Different indeed.

(seriously Apple... tell an intern to fix it. It can't be that hard)
God made the pretty girls pretty because he likes them more
