eventually these things will be so cheap and so easy to produce that they'll be in every school just like those old slide down whitescreens for projectors. However, the new OLED slide downs will also get stuck in the down position, and then suddenly snap and reel itself back into the up position unexpectedly.

This is reminding me of The Office with the 15" plasma screen that he pushes closer to the wall when he needs the extra space.

At this thickness, it looks like you'll be able to create your own backlighting. DIY localized LED backlighting FTW!

Before you know it we'll have something like Display Can™ (DiC for short). You just shake up your DiC, spray it on a wall or other surface and you have yourself a display. Just don't do it to often or you could go blind.

@Noobs-R-Us: Tons of uses for thin screens like this, even at 11 inches or less. Thinner cameras, ipods, portable dvd players, laptops, portable game systems, hell maybe even an electronic scroll-out map for your car or hiking. Besides, I doubt that Sony is just concentrating all of its efforts on OLED technology. Cool stuff, and I'm glad I'm around to see it actually being made, and not just in theory form.

You still need a separate box for all the inputs and power supply. I think all manufacturers can make their displays a lot thinner (maybe not this thin) by taking out all the extras from them.
