I would imagine that the nacelles could easily get bent trying to open a particularly difficult bottle or after repeated use. Looks cool, but probably not the most practical bottle opener in the world.

At 44, Im just old enough to remember Star Trek's entry into modern TV. While Sci-Fi has changed with the times, the story always pivoted on an exploratory and non threatening and accepting venue. We are humans and due to hubris, we believe we can conquor anything. TAKE THAT Global Warming! LOL. Anyway...this is the first Trek item Ive seen for many years that wasnt totally tacky...I want one
