incredibles: dad gets lost
cars: McQueen gets lost
wall-e: wall-e gets lost?

see a trend here? it's all the same story, with the same format, same equation, same ending, same types of characters - the only thing that is different is the "theme" they chose (toys, ocean, cars, robots, etc)

As with any movie you should watch them without the bloated expectations you get from the hype and just see it for what it is, a great way to escape reality and really get your money's worth out of that dime bag you just picked up from the kid outside.

The only reason Disney has stayed afloat is thanks to Pixars original movie ideas. I don't feel that I need to list the movies to prove my point really.

I'd totally get this. If it was plastic I'd consider modding the body to use metal panels instead though.

make it out of Die-cast Metal and I'd consider it - after all if you're gonna build a robot it should be metal_ Look at C3PO_

On a side note - the exception is if they get together with LEGO and doa life-sized kit_ Ah yeah !

A: Creates familiarity with a character before they are ever actually introduced. That way your kids will INSIST that you take them to see the movie when it comes out.
B: If for some reason, you don't end up liking the movie, you will have already bought the merchandising.

Whatever happened to the good old days where you got to see the movie, then decide that you liked it enough to buy the merchandise?

Second, This will just be one more thing that Disney can start marketing for every movie before it ever comes out. (totally off subject) It really bothers me how Disney/Pixar make these HUGE marketing pushes with toys, and video games and all the merchandising for movies before they are even released. The kids are begging for toys for movies they haven't seen yet, and for all they know...might hate. (I'll end my short rant here)
