I don't think that that's too bad. However, that would mean that the headphone jack is probably the less than universal 2.5 mil standard, judging by the pic. Is this common in blackberry phones?

but no, seriously, I tend to agree with you. I've been using my RAZR for quite some time now. And although I do like the slim design for pocketing it, I don't like the feel of holding it for use. It feels too flimsy, and I always sit on it and think I'm going to break it. I can see where you would prefer something with just a LITTLE more substance to the physical design....

It sounds like you are very particular about what kind of cell phone you would like. I'm sure there is something out there that will suit your needs. There are literally thousands of options.

I don't think too many people go for the newest thing simply because it is "the newest thing." People buy the newest things because they have new features that make them easier and more fun to use.

I may or may not be in the minority here, but a cell phone has to fit snuggely into my hand. That means it can't be too wide, it can't be too thin, it has to be something I can use with one hand, I definetly don't want the whole damn screen to be touch-screen either. This is what I'm personally looking for in a phone, and it perplexes me when people go for the newest thing, just because it's the newest thing. Finding a phone that suits my needs won't be easy.

Thinner IS better, IMHO:
Easier to get in and out of pockets.
Typically Lighter.
Aesthetically more appealing.
Today's thin phones don't sacrifice features.

There is a reason that phone manufacturers are coming out with thinner phones. You are in the minority here.

What advantages does a thicker phone have anyway? I suppose you are one of those guys who has a cool belt clip for your cell phone?
