Generally speaking, (and from just looking at the page hits per article ratio on todays homepage) I think it's safe to say that though the articles may not be written by 15 year old boys, they are obviously written for, and read by and far by an audience obviously predominantly comprised of 15 year old boys (don't believe me? Look at the post on any given article for proof of the "boys only club mentality" in full affect here on Giz!). Gizmodo is still a business mind you, and like any good business they want traffic, and lots of it! So, though it may be written in a style with the lowest possible denominator in mind (15 year old boys obsessed with farts, penis, poop, porn and ejaculation); or tends to be a bit sophomoric in-regard to humor, it's articles obviously address the issue's concerning a 15 year old boy on a day-to-day basis. I'm sure that if you looked at Brian's job description you'd notice that's it's not to check grammar or diction, or anything important like that (obviously from some of his contributers post...), but is instead primarily concerned with editing the type content that makes it's way onto Giz. If a majority of readers want stories about masturbation, then articles about masturbation it is! If stories about masturbation bring in a ton of viewer's, which ultimately makes the sponsor's happy, then Masturbation it is!... Long story short, give Brian and his team a break, they're just pandering to the their target audience. Now if you're really serious and find this sort of stuff offensive, then don't be tempted by these "types" of articles and ignore them altogether, or you could always just go to Engadget for your tech news. Who knows, if a enough viewers ignore these "types" of articles, and the hits for these "types" of articles go down enough (yeah right, I'm just saying is all...) then maybe Gizmodo, and BLam by default, won't put sooo many of these "types" of articles up! And, just to play devil's advocate, you could always write one of their sponsors and complain about Giz's content. Who knows, that may work for you.....
