I use to be a Denon freak, but since I got my 94 last year, it is far superior. Everything goes thru my receiver, then on to it's proper device. I love this piece of hardware. Best AV unit I have ever owned.

Pioneer's Elite line-up, especially that incredible SC-09 unit, makes them have the best lineup of anybody out there. The sound quality is flawless. It was already good before they went with class D amps, now it is even better. As soon as they make a model to do DVD-A and SACD over HDMI, I will go through YET ANOTHER upgrade cycle... happily.

And all that but no VGA and/or DVI? Anyone thinking "how can you say no to the RS-232 because it's old but then support non-HDMI video inputs?" (and I know you're out there...lurking like a grue), all I can say is use your brain! When was the last time you used the serial for anything other than configuring an old school Cisco router or some such?

Now think when was the last time you watched something plugged into VGA or DVI? There are still a hell of a lot of video cards that have no HDMI output but could easily support HD through DVI. Where's the love, receiver manufacturers?!?
