i would have to say that this seemed to be a compilation of all the past p-series into one. to me it basically looks like my p900(without keypad) but add a d-pad and two main buttons to it. and to make use of the m600 or p1 qwerty/dialpad they put it in slider form. i would have like the full qwerty slider since it is a much faster way to type but i guess they dont really want to compete with the x1. lets hope they didnt dumb this down because of the x1 exclusivity(sp?).

@djtooshay: P1 user for 2 years, M600 for 6 months. I'm aware of the rocker mechanism in the devices, and would still take a '1 button for each letter' approach any day. The 'qwerty' layout makes use of the fact that you can use more than one finger at a time when trying to input. I think the rocker mechanism would work fantastically if letters that commonly follow each other were placed side by side, on each rocker.

@oyumurtaci: The keypad SonyEricson uses is a little different from the SureType type boards; the buttons are actually on a rocker of sorts, so that to hit "A" you press on the left and "S" is on the right edge. Not sure if its any easier to use, but at least your not relying on a built-in dictionary.

@oyumurtaci: Disagree. Do you speak from the experience of owning one? I held on to the m600i for over a year and while although awkward in the begining, it certainly grew on me. I love it.

Ugh. Its a bit on the ugly side, but maybe its surface hides something special. But judging this thing from the on the outside, it really does look bland and so "me too".

Also. this is the type of press Paris doesn't need. It only encourages her...what?

Or the HTC Blue Angel. Or that Samsung i620. Just with that awkward two-letter-per-button that SE insists on. It's better than 3 per button, agreed, but not as good as a dedicated qwerty. It didn't work well for the P1 or the M600, give it up already.
