Usually the product that's ripped-off is whatever one became most popular first. So even though the LG Prada was the first well known full-touchscreen phone, iPhone quickly became more popular; and hence the Prada pulled a time-warp and ripped off the iPhone.

Apple usually does a good job at advertising to help boost product popularity. This usually causes people to say that something "ripped off" an Apple product, even though other companies did similar things first.

Everyone imitates everyone. Really they are just trying to improve on an existing product and get their piece of the pie. Get used to it.

rxan

How come when apple takes tech it's 'inspired' by the original, but if anyone makes something 'inspired' by an apple product, it's called a rip-off?

foe1one
