You can actually use orb and orb live to view your slingbox on the itouch.
Not sure if you can posts links or not, but check out my post on
slingcommunity
<http://www.slingcommunity.com/forum/thread/28329/Sling-to-iTouch-with-SLR-R
ecorder/> . There is a slight delay. Of course it's not the optimal way
and there is no way to control the slingbox.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this but you can also use it to browse your TV Programming Guide and set shows to record, that is if your computer has Media Center. I Think Orb works great, but the novelty of watching live streaming TV on your phone or whatever wears off pretty quick. It lasted about three days for me.

baltwade

Comment on Native Orb App Brings Live TV to Your iPhone Im using orb on vista with quad core 3.3ghz processor. Streaming live
tv uses no more than 5% cpu utilization. If you are planning on
streaming tv you must have a dual core 3 ghz system at least.
Hopefully the 3g iphone will make streaming bearable as edge is simply
too slow

Man. you have to have a tv tuner card to watch tv. I can only stream my movies and photos and music. I don't wanna pay $100 for a good tuner. I have a Dish Network HD set top box in my room. Idk how id get that signal in the tuner card unless I can get a coax cable coming outta the box in the tuner into my comp and still have my HD component feed to my tv to watch.

goaliegeek

Orb's awesome. Kind of frustrating though that they'll whip this out even before it's officially supported for the iPhone, yet the won't make a native app version for other mobile phones.

And as for Orb hogging resources. I agree, it's frustrating. I finally just limited it to utilize only one core on the CPU and that worked great for me.

Ron-Mexico
