Apple has just introduced a new, cheaper iMac model. From today, $1,100—$200 less than Cook & Co.'s previous cheapest all-in-one—can get you one of Apple's super-slim desktops.
The new 21.5-inch model features a slower 1.4GHz Intel Core i5 processor than usual. The previous cheapest model, priced at $1,300 and still available, packs a 2.7GHz Intel Core i5 processor—so it's quite a drop in speed. There aren't really any other major changes to speak of, though: it features the same design and base specs as its slightly more expensive sibling. [Apple]
