Digital picture frames are kind of silly. I have a Nokia model that I turn on when we have guests over so they can say "Oh, wow, a digital picture frame!" and then drink more of our booze. It's a conversation starter, I guess, but not much else.

That said, the AVTech VDPF2 is a cute picture frame with 5.6" display and a built-in MP3 player. S-Video out allows you to drop your photos onto a TV—but why have the display?—and the built-in card reader lets you put your shots right onto the frame sans PC. Ultimately, you have to decide if you would like a bright, $160 LCD glowing on your wall that doesn't do much more than show pictures. Wi-Fi? Hmm... maybe then we can talk.
