Olympus dropped the SP-700 today, the latest in its compact camera lineup. It has 6 megapixels, a 3-inch LCD screen, 3x optical zoom, and VGA 30 frames per second movie recording, along with 24 picture modes. The camera comes with 11MB internal memory and a slot for xD picture memory cards (which I'm personally not a fan of, because of the typically high price and limited availability). The feature-set looks great, but I'll wait to see how much it costs before rendering a final judgment. Should be in stores in time for the holidays.
