We first saw the phone awhile ago, but now we know for sure that Cingular's the carrier for this curious-looking clamshell. The dual-hinge design opens either vertically or horizontally, to reveal a regular keypad that also acts as a mini QWERTY keyboard. It comes with Bluetooth and EDGE connectivity, voice recognition utilities for message dictation, and is optimized for messaging and email (supports both POP3 and IMAP). It's available now for US$249.99, or US$199.99 after a US$50 mail-in rebate.
