If you are looking to drop some cash on a device that stores images, check out Digital Foci's Media Buddy, a hard disc drive that lets you copy and store photos from a memory card without any wires. The backlit LCD shows text only, so you can't view any pics (but we all know how useful it is to see that CIMG0351.JPG has been transferred). The Buddy comes in 30GB, 40GB, 60GB or 80GB storage capacities which should be plenty of space. The company is touting it as a better solution to buying more memory cards. If you're on holiday and want to take tons of photos, just take your Media Buddy with you, download your images from a full card, and keep snapping. Given the price of most memory cards, $229 for the starting price of this portable drive is not a bad deal. Works with CF I/II, MD, SM, xD-Picture Card, MMC, SD Card, miniSD, Memory Stick, MS PRO, MS Duo, and MS PRO Duo. Oh, and it also works as an MP3 player. Comes in Powder Blue, Arctic Silver, and Pearl Gray.
