RIM has gotten into more problems, yet again. RIM may be forced to stop selling BlackBerry hardware and software in the U.S. completely if a judge decides to strike them down. Today U.S. District Judge James Spencer denied the request by RIM to enforce the terms of its $450 million patent settlement with NTP. An upcoming hearing will determine the fate of RIM and the BlackBerry. RIM is pushing to get the Supreme Court to review the case. This lawsuit is four years in the making after NTP filed suit against RIM in 2001 for patent infringement. Good luck RIM; crackberry addicts across the globe wish you all the best.
