The Join Unmanned Combat Air System has been scrapped by the Air Force and Navy. The J-UCAS was set to produce an armed drone that would be capable of knocking out enemy air defense, conduct surveillance, jam enemy radars and conduct some strike missions. This was trashed for a new project that would focus mainly on combat. The new bomber will be part of the long-range strike aircraft program. Cool stuff, big ba-da boom.
