Here's a little preview of the D5: All Things Digital conference that'll be happening on May 30th, where Steve Jobs shares the stage with Bill Gates to talk tech.

Lots more pics, after the jump:

In these pics taken by photographer Asa Mahat at D3: All Things Digital in 2005, Jobs and Gates had dinner with one of our fave tech columnists, Walt Mossberg of the Wall Street Journal, and it looks like a fine time was had by all. Walt tells us the conversation was light, where "they mostly made small talk, discussing family stuff and general business stuff, nothing newsworthy, noteworthy, or contentious."

In the gallery below, you also see Steve and Bill doing the cocktail party thing with Mitch Kapor, founder of Lotus Development Corporation and the designer of Lotus 1-2-3.

The friendly banter between the two tech industry titans Jobs and Gates could be a bit more touchy at the All Things Digital conference this year, but both these guys are civilized billionaire dudes, so we expect the discourse will be enlightening but not disconcerting.
