We often do quiet assassinations of jackass commenters on the site, but once in a while we get one that's really great. If you want to know who to emulate, take a look at strider_mt2k's comments. He comments on a lot of posts, which could potentially be annoying, but most of his stuff is either insightful, funny, or just good enough to not be annoying. All in all, he's a quality commenter, and deserving of being entered into the commenter hall of fame—which as of now, consists only of him.
Want make it in too? Here's how:
1) Choose a post, click on it, and scroll to the bottom.
2) Click "New User? Here's what to do."
3) Fill in the comment, choose a username and password (the one you want to use for your eventual comment account), and hit "Submit."
4) Refresh the page to see if your comment shows up. If it hasn't within a day or two, try again with a comment that's more like strider's.
Update: Whoa, what the. Apparently we just awarded Strider with another commenter award last month. Yes, that's twice in a row he's teaching people how to be a decent human being on the internet. So he's not just in the hall of fame now, he's officially retired and hanging up his jersey. That's right—we should kill off his account and make sure nobody can use it again. But we won't. Maybe.
