Spotify Is Finally on Windows Phone 8

After over three months, Windows Phone finally has a Spotify app again. The app just went up in the Store, and is rolling out as a beta. You might have to wait a bit for it to show up.

The original Windows Phone 7 Spotify app was built by a third party, funded by Microsoft to get Spotify on WP as fast as possible. That meant, though, that it couldn't be ported like any other app, and needed to be rebuilt. Which excuses some of the tardiness. But having an app sit, unusable, for so long was a pretty glaring broken window for the platform. So it's good Spotify is back! We missed you. [Windows Blog via Verge]

Thank god. Finally my Lumia 920 is a phone worth having. Xbox Music sucked.

I will say this Spotify app is really limited. There's not even a radio function as far as I can tell. It's a shame. I might still be switching back to an iPhone at the end of the year. Hopefully the next iPhone impresses me more than the 5.
