Japanese Robots to Invade the Moon

2015. That's when the First Interplanetary War starts, when Japanese humanoid robots arrive to the Moon to fight the Nazis stationed there. If there are no Nazis, however, they'll just set up camp and explore, waiting for humans to arrive.

The bipedal humanoid will be called Maido-kun, and it's being developed by SOHLA—Space Oriented Higashiosaka Leading Association—a business group in Osaka. The group knows it's going to be hard, but they are working to get the $10.5 million robot ready for launch in 2015. JAXA will send their own wheeled robot then—after discarding bipeds themselves. SOHLA is looking to get Maido-Kun in the same JAXA spacecraft. [Pink Tentacle]
