Some Twitter users out there enjoy using Twitter's website instead of a mobile app to compose their thoughts in 140 words or less. Now these brave web-oriented folk can shorten links using Twitter's own shortening service.
The t.co shortening service went live today for all users who tweet from Twitter.com. No worries if you use another URL shortener as others services like bit.ly will continue to work. This new feature was designed to make it easier for Twitter's diehard web users, not shut down the competition. [Twitter via The Next Web]
