Similar to what Starbucks has done for iTunes music, the coffee chain on every corner will start giving away free iOS apps to their customers. Just pick up a 'Picks of the Week' card near the cash register and punch in the code on the App Store.
It's pretty much the exact same system as their free music cards. The first app to be offered through the new program is Shazam Encore (normally 6 bucks!) which is a lot better deal than some songs from a band you never heard of. We'll see if Starbucks can keep giving away quality apps or if it'll denigrate to, well, apps you never heard of. [CNET via 9to5Mac]
