Short film The Bridge Partner is based on a story by Peter S. Beagle, but it’s not the kind of fantasy usually associated with The Last Unicorn author. Instead, it’s a psychological horror thriller about a timid woman (Beth Grant) whose glamorous new bridge partner (Sharon Lawrence) is... perhaps... pure evil.

The Bridge Partner, which features Robert Forster, has won multiple horror-festival awards; it’s directed by Gabriel Olson, and if you watch carefully you can spot a cameo from author Beagle.

Good stuff! I hadn’t heard or read the short story. This is some fine acting from seasoned veterans. And its a pretty good ending there, too.
