Oh nice, didn’t know this! Just goes to show that there were so many people involved in the franchise who were actively trying to make it more inclusive, and even though many of their efforts were shut down, we can relish the little victories!
Excellent point about Discovery and consequences — I really feel that they were throwing darts at a dartboard in terms of plot, dragging few plot points out at the beginning before rushing through so many huge twists at the end to wrap it all up neatly.
