Notice how all of those are listed as “collectable” and cost more than most Nerf blasters.

Modulus has longer range stock, so if you don’t plan to mod... but I would get a Stryfe and mod it. If you can find one.
I play with the Bay Area Nerf folks. Check Meetup or something, maybe there’s a group near you?
Show me where you can buy one. They only ever came with the Raider, as far as I know, and even the smaller 25-dart drums aren’t produced anymore?
Yep, blaster stock is absolutely way better as a stock.
Thank you! Yesterday was my last day at Gizmodo, but check @starfire2258 on twitter on Monday and I’ll tell you where I’m going next. :-)
Pretty hard to modify a motorized blaster to be more accurate. Shooting harder is easy: add a couple of IMR batteries and a pair of battery spacers instead of AAs. Here’s a readymade kit: http://www.dormlabs.com/home/28-high-v…
How else am I supposed to aim it? :-p
Rival Apollo or Lawbringer are my current recommendations. http://gizmodo.com/preview/the-be…
Not getting paid by Hasbro, not getting paid by Mattel either. I like toy blasters, okay?
Worth noting that the Drop Grip and Dual Rail barrel come with the $50 Modulus, so if you’re sure you want a Modulus and also want those accessories, you’d be better off getting the $50 package deal and get a stock, 10-shot clip, darts, and crummy scope too.
The tragedy isn’t that I wore it. The tragedy is I had no idea what photographic white balance was at the time.
I would strongly suggest a PC with 4GB of RAM or more.
Hey I know you! Now we can be dead together.
I’m here for like six more hours. What kind of laptop do you want? :-P
Yeah, okay, that’s a way better prop. But not for $40!
Thanks, Ray! I really appreciate you saying so. It’s clear how much effort went into this brand and its products... and equally clear that some good ideas got cut off at the knees here. Hoping for more from BOOMco! And in the meanwhile, you can be sure I’ll be buying my own Halo pistol set as soon as the toy stores… Read more
Absolutely.
Thanks for the perspective! It’s super hard for reviewers to judge a kid computer at a glance... so many things parents will want their kids to be able to do / not do with the thing.
