They’re not bone conduction; they’re actual speakers positioned near your ears to deliver a similar effect but the sound quality is a lot better than bone conduction headphones. But fair enough re: price! I found the Trekz were really uncomfortable when I tried them but awesome if they work for you!

I also did not get a CD-compatible stereo in my room until I was 13. If I wanted to listen to CDs I had to very politely ask my Mom to use hers and even then, I was limited to....Celine Dion or Rimsky-Korsakov. The one time I got her to listen to Spiceworld with me she said America was a cultural wasteland.
