About the Role:

We’re looking for a Staff Writer with a passionate interest in gadgets and tech to join our badass team of reviewers and reporters on the consumer technology beat. The right candidate will have creative ideas for interesting reviews outside the world of blockbuster products from Apple, as well as be quick with a sharp analytical take on the product news of the day. On-camera experience is not required, but you should be comfortable participating in our active video program. You are also not expected to show up with a Rolodex of PR contacts, but keeping in touch with the wide range of publicists and marketing people is an important part of the job, so you should be able to manage these relationships professionally.
 

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have at least two years experience working at a major digital or print outlet with strong consumer technology coverage
  • Have a demonstrable enthusiasm for cutting-edge technology
  • Be comfortable writing reviews, news, analysis, and how-tos
  • Experience scripting or appearing on camera preferred but not required
  • Have strong, well-argued opinions
