About the Role

G/O Media is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to work closely with product management, editorial, and business stakeholders. This role lives within the engineering team, and will be involved in working with our BI Tool and data warehouse solution to provide and automate reporting to the wider organization. You’ll also help determine key performance indicators for projects, measure the UX and revenue impact of new features and initiatives, and provide analysis and guidance to inform product, editorial, and business decisions.



  • Work with our BI tool and data warehouse to automate repeat reporting asks

  • Help members of the organization to gain access to and understand the data relevant to their role, includes training users and user access management

  • Work with the tech and product throughout the product development process, to determine project goals, monitor KPIs and evaluate project success.

  • Design and implement A/B tests for new features. Analyze, communicate and contextualize the results to the larger organization.

  • Scope out tracking requirements for new features; work with frontend development team to ensure tracking is implemented correctly; quality assurance of tracking codes



  • Bachelor’s degree; major in business, finance, mathematics, or statistics preferred but all are considered

  • 1-2 years of experience in an analytical role at a media or technology company.

  • Familiarity with Website Analytics/digital media tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Chartbeat, DFP, Google Tag Manager, Adobe Analytics, etc)

  • Experience with or strong desire to learn Python and SQL

  • Self starter with the ability to interact effectively across multiple teams and product tracks

  • Strong communication and time management skills; can explain mathematical or technical concepts in a clear, easy to understand way; ability to work on multiple projects at once.
