If you lack the patience for assembling something as simple as a jigsaw puzzle, you’ll want to move along. Metal Earth’s intricate models, which assemble from flat, pre-cut sheets of metal, could frustrate even a brain surgeon. Which is unfortunate, because these new color models are so very tempting.

Fascinations, the company behind the Metal Earth models, recently came up with a way to print different colors on the flat metal sheets. Why this is cool is perfectly demonstrated with the new 4.75-inch Iron Man model made up of shiny red and yellow panels.

There’s also a golden C-3PO Metal Earth Model on the way, which looks just as wonderful as Iron Man does.

We can’t say we’ve ever seen Bumblebee looking so golden and glamorous in the movies, comics, or animated series, but the character was probably long overdue for a makeover anyways.

The same goes for a golden Dalek, but that bright blue Tardis model couldn’t be more perfect. Well, maybe if it came pre-assembled to help save you hours of frustration.

The new USS Roosevelt aircraft carrier is also impressive given it’s only about seven or eight inches long. But then you start to notice the tiny planes and helicopters sitting on its flight deck, and wonder how on earth you’ll be able to get those incredibly tiny rotors perfectly positioned without them snapping off.
