Hacked Alarm Clock Only Plays "I Got You Babe" Just Like Groundhog Day

February 2 is one of the most important non-holidays on the calendar. You don't get to skip work, but when you get home, you get to watch Bill Murray in Groundhog Day again and again until the clock strikes midnight. And if you want to relive the film every day, Instructables has a fun hack that makes an alarm clock radio play Sonny and Cher's "I Got You Babe" every single morning.

If accuracy is important to you, you'll need to get your hands on an old Panasonic RC-6025 Alarm Clock that uses a flip display for the time. But if you're less concerned about making this hack screen-accurate, you just need any alarm clock that's large enough to hide an Adafruit Audio FX Sound Board—the same one used in that laugh track blazer.

Just be sure you know what you're getting into with this hack. The first few days of waking up to Sonny and Cher every single morning might be cute, but as the weeks wear on, there's a good chance you'll end up feeling like Bill Murrary's character did—and in most states it's illegal to put a Groundhog behind the wheel of a car.
