Well, this is a fascinating story. In May, Gizmodo posted a large collection of air traffic control towers—and you, the readers, added many of your own contributions in the comments. Now, the collection has helped inspire a set of beautiful posters devoted to the towers.

According to Heidi Muller, the founder of 08 Left, the set was a huge inspiration for this nice series of posters, each immortalizing a different city's air traffic control tower. Just check out ten of the 23 posters below. I love it how these blueprint-style drawings evoke the ethereal silhouettes of ATC towers with just a few well-placed lines.

The talented graphic designers of 08 Left–Heidi and husband Ryan–are definitely huge fans of flight and air travel, you should check their other works on their site. For example, their airport posters would go well along with any of the ATC posters below.
