Scanners are a bit of a running joke around the Giz office. "If you post a scanner, you're probably fired," our editors demi-joke. So it's sorta distressing news that HP's got a cheap 3D scanner that's actually kind of awesome.
Printing straight from your iPad without a separate app! That's the allure of AirPrint, Apple's wireless printing solution that does away with software and drivers. There are only a dozen printers it works with now, though. [Updated]
Air Print is on the horizon, and it looks like it's going to be the perfect solution for all our iOS printing needs. IN THE MEANTIME there's the Bolle BP-10, which cradles iPhones and spits out 4"x6" prints.
Apple initially said that AirPrint, their wireless printing protocol, would come to "iPad, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPod touch (second generation and later)" with the arrival of iOS 4.2. Now they're saying it's those first three and "iPod touch (third generation and later)." Granted, you may not have actually printed…
