I didn't know about this fun factoid: On April, 1970, the Grumman Aerospace Corporation—manufacturers of the Lunar Module—sent a $312,421.24 bill to North American Rockwell—who made the service module that malfunctioned in the Apollo 13 mission—for towing services. Why, you ask? Here's the story.
Remember the time NASA sent some humans into space with a lunar module and had them photograph it from low-Earth orbit?
When I looked at this photo my first thought was "Oh, what a cute paper model of the lunar module! It's so nicely done!" Then I read that this was not a model, but a photo of the real thing.
