Pocketmode: PocketMode isn't really an app, it's a settings tweak available for jailbroken iPhones. It smartly uses your iPhone's ambient light sensor to determine where your iPhone is. So if it's in your pocket (dark), the ringer is customized to be louder than when it's on your desk (bright). And don't worry, there's a night mode to prevent it from shrieking during your sleep. $1.49. Jailbreak Only.
PixelateTool: This app is too easy to use. Use a photo you've just taken, or take one from your album, highlight the area you want pixelated, choose the pixel size and JOB DONE. You now look like very anonymous. Honest! $1
Y! AppSpot: Yahoo's new AppSpot service lets you search for iOS apps using a web browser or a mobile device. The system includes ratings, daily personal picks and a list of related apps to help you discover the perfect app.
Hanging with Friends: Kotaku says Hanging with Friends is Zynga's take on the ol' classic Hangman game with elements of Scrabble and social thrown in for good measure. There's some added features that help you figure out the puzzle and no worries if you have no friends to hang with as it's easy as heck to find a partner.
Shazam: Shazam Encore and Shazam Red both have a new feature called LyricPlay. It's pretty much like karaoke, the app will display and animate (scroll, jump or slide) the lyrics of the song you're listening to for you to sing along.
