First, Disney announces a Tron, television series, and now they're already starting to work on the sequel, more than half a year before the premiere date of the first film. Disney certainly seems confident everything's following its Master Control Program.
Heat Vision announced that Tron Legacy screenwriters Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, formerly of Lost, are already starting work on a sequel.
There are no additional plot details on this point, and we don't know if this will be a Flynn family-centric film or focus in on a new set of characters. We don't even know if director Joseph Kosinski will return. But we do know that Disney is putting all its resources behind this feature. Besides the television spin-off and the new movie, Disney's already remaking its theme parks to feature light cycles. But we're still waiting in vain for the mass-produced Tron unitards.
