Feast your eyes on the mind-bending glory that is a powerful volcanic eruption in infrared, and wonder how the Predator ever sleeps at night. Turrialba is an active volcano in central Costa Rica, whose numerous eruptions over the last two years have garnered international attention. The latest stir began with an explosion of ash and rocks in the wee hours of the morning on April 30th. Soon after, geologists started recording increased seismic activity from the volcano, accompanied by dozens of outbursts of gas and ash over the next few days.
This beastly fart occurred yesterday, and was recorded by the University of Costa Rica’s National Seismological Network.
