There are a lot of great applications for materials being developed that display extreme water repelling properties, inspired by nature and particularly desert life. This video doesn't explain any of them and that's fine—I just like to watch all those crazy water droplets doing crazy stuff.
Wait a sec....whats happening at the 1:27 mark? Cause it seems like that water is just magically moving up the canal thing....where's the energy coming from for that? Whats to stop someone from looping that water back around and making it drip on the beginning again and infinite energy?
Seriously though, I'm really curious as to whats going on there.
