LG’s TVs certainly don’t come cheap these days, but its new 105-inch ultrawidescreen, Ultra HD TV perhaps pushes the limits to the extreme: it costs an eye-watering $120,000.

Just released for sale in Korea, it’s priced at 120 million won. OK, so that actually translates to $117,000, but who’s quibbling over $3,000 at that point? For that obscene quantity of money, you get a display that LG actually refers to as 5K because of its (really very, very impressive) 5,120 x 2,160 resolution. There also an integrated speaker which, presumably,, is supposed to make it seem better value?
It doesn’t, of course. It costs $120,000. You could buy a fleet of cars with that, or an apartment, or even—if you insist on TVs—16 of these still-rather-nice 80-inch LG 4K TVs. [LG via Engadget]
