Verizon's got a bunch of new Unlimited plans coming tomorrow. Can you taste the bitter, metallic flavor of pure excitement in the air? People with fat wallets and big mouths will be sure to enjoy the unlimited voice plan for $99, and they only get more expensive from there.
Here's the full rundown:
* $99 - Nationwide Unlimited (voice)If you bump your plan up to one of these unlimited jobs, you'll get actually unlimited data usage (as opposed to 5GB a month) and you won't need to extend your contract. UPDATE: The plan for data for cards is $60 for 5GB, with 49 cents overage. [Boy Genius]
* $119 - Nationwide Select Unlimited (voice, SMS, MMS)
* $139 - Nationwide Premium (voice, SMS, MMS, VZNav, VCAST, email)
* $149 - Nationwide Email and Messaging (voice, SMS, MMS, and data)
* $169 - Nationwide Global Email and Messaging (voice, SMS, MMS, and international data)
* $199 - Family plan with two lines, $99 per additional line.

hopefully that $150 includes a non-gimped phone and the ability to tether to a laptop.
Pardon me ... But what a ripoff. Cincinnati Bell already offers unlimited text and voice for $65 / month. Where is the competitive pricing?
@ PLANKBR Cincinnati Bell has as much coverage as the is cdma over seas(btw good luck finding cdma over seas unless your in japan)...gsm in the us is terrible. verizon has far superior nation wide coverage, and doesnt have to roam off every tom dick and jane.
also the 100 dollar price is a awesome deal considering what they used to charge, even sprint was 199.99 for unlimited voice, and still is in the majority of thier markets
Cheap, I will get 10lines with unlimited data just in case.
Right, but verizon sucks, so why bother having unlimited suckiness.
I would only be interested in the Text and Data plans. And Verizon is not that bad, compared to Sprint it is great.
yea, right. Two words that I know never go together are "Verizon" and "unlimited."
Verizon cut me off of their "Unlimited" wireless service, after having it for 6 months...called my usage "fraud", tried to charge me an early termination fee, and then reconnected me the very next day.
$250 a month from my wallet...bills always paid on time, and that's how they treat people..The "Fraud" was not able to be proven of what I was doing (streaming a television show here or there, downloading music, and a couple of movies a month.)
Never again Verizon.
@Stacky Botrus: Agreed. I tried Verizon and left because there customer relations was appalling. I never would have guessed I would be crawling back to Sprint (whose customer service is incompetent at best, but at least they aren't rude!).
yeah, verizon sucks for individual accounts, but for corp accounts it's pretty sweet. apparently the corp customer service doesn't have rude people answering the phones.
I have a friend who has Verizon, and yesterday they called him up trying to get him to change his plan and extend his contact for another two years. Bastards.
Even if Verizon does suck this is still good news as it should force the other cell providers to compete on this as well.
"If you bump your plan up to one of these unlimited jobs, you'll get actually unlimited data usage"
That makes no sense. If i were to add the $119 plan, and if what you're saying is i auto-matically get unlimited data, then why are they showing the $149 plan??
The Helio $99 promotion is comparable....
27 days left with Verizon. Cannot wait for this contract to be over. Their customer service has gotten worse with every passing day.
My soon-to-be brother-in-law was thinking about getting my sister a Blackberry for her birthday, but couldn't figure out a way to do it on Verizon without risking those mystery $1000 bills for accidentally downloading a big file. It looks like he just found a way to give it to her for a fixed cost. Score!
this is great for places where metro pcs, cincinti bell etc. dont have any coverage like a lot of area's now at&t your turn
@domerdel: there probably talking about caps they put on accounts on how much internet you can use on an unlimited plan
wow I pay 50 a month with the sprint sero plan, 1250 min unlimted txt, and data. suck on that
@Indio: It says they have a 5 GB per month limit. Read before signing.
@xxenclavexx: Sprint has no EV-DO here at all, and voice coverage goes 10 mi either side of the freeway and that's it, 5 mi if indoors. Verizon is all Rev. A, even way out in the sticks. Suck on that.
Helio and Sprint are doing it for cheaper. Who cares either way. Once you go unlim you never you back to HELL WITH CREAM CHEESEEEEE
No, thanks, I'll stick with my own "unlimited" plan - the leech off other people's wifi and use skype / data on my xv6700, not signing a contract ever plan.
The XV6700 is actually great for that....except leaching wi-fi is illegal in my state.
I have unlimited data, text pix and flix and 900 minutes for $125 and it serves my needs. I'm not paying a fortune for this crap...wait, I already do.
AT&T almost always follow suit with these situations. They certainly did with the Unlimited Familytalk Messaging (TXT/PIC/VID) for $30.
Unlimited is always a good thing.
You cannot really compare helio to verizon. Verizon has much better phones and coverage.
Anyway, I think it's kind of pricy.
Now if I could only get a stinkin Blackberry Curve on Verizon!!! Hello? Is this thing on?
