Apple maps is unreliable, half-baked, and down right frustrating. But how does it actually stack up against the competition in real life? Reuters pits Apple’s solution up against Google Maps in a head-to-head race on the ground in Hong Kong, and the results probably won’t surprise you.

The guy using Apple Maps was given longer routes, wrong directions, and in some cases, was told to go a dangerous route. Chances are, you’ve probably experienced some of these issues if you’ve been using iOS 6 navigation yourself. The video is a good example of some of the many problems with Apple’s breaking up with Google, and you could probably guess which app won. [Reuters TV]
