Still haunted by having to kill Jean to save the world, Logan leaves the X-Men behind and travels to Japan, where he crosses paths with the sinister Silver Samurai, defeating them. Returning to the U.S., Logan is stopped by Magneto, who reveals that Charles Xavier is alive, and that they need his help again to stop an increasingly dire future for mutantkind coming to pass.
