Design cues in electronic products are kind of like my mom’s mild harelip or your weird uncle’s curly hair—they show up once every generation and only occasionally get passed on to a wide array of progeny and really ensconce themselves into the gene pool. The DigiArmor DMS-S20 is the first device to display a tendency towards the RAZR’s nice aluminum punched out key aesthetic, and I’m sure it’s not the last. Electronics manufacturers grab something they like and hold on like leeches as evidenced by the brushed silver phase of the last few years.
Otherwise, the specs are pretty standard: 1.8-inch TFT, 20GB HD, blah blah blah. Now if only the internal stuff on these me-too PMPs would evolve, then we’d start getting somewhere.
