DIY CD Lamp

By

Reading time 1 minute

A man who thought that sunlight looks beautiful as it refracts through the side of a CD-ROM shouldn’t be trusted with power tools, but I guess they’re more lax about that up in Canada. Jim Watters, a former QA tester, had about 70 CDs and decided to make a lamp in order to recreate that warm, plastic glow. The resulting DIY project is a wonderful fire hazard made of a tube light and some plywood. (Thanks, Luke)
