Dorothea Lange brought the sorrow—and strength—of Depression-era subsistence farmers to light. I believe this photo, taken at E3 by Devious, is our generation’s defining image, an amalgam of patient suffering, heartfelt yearning, and butt shaking that will echo universally through our culture.
Apparently, this anonymous fellow was surfing the Innerweb and wiggling his posterior for 30 minutes straight. I think the composition—360 bags at his side, awaiting their turn—is a indictment of the hype surrounding these new consoles and lengths to which we will accept marketing BS as bible truth.
Hats off to you, Devious. Look for your name on the roster of great photographers.
