It’s so nice that Ericsson is getting out a little bit. They’re in such an difficult relationship with Sony—Sony gets all the attention, Ericsson just kind of hangs out and sometimes pipes up during dinner conversation but it hasn’t been the same since they got married. Sony is so pushy. I don’t know what Ericsson sees in them.
Anyway, Ericsson and Napster will be offering music downloads and subscriptions in Europe this year and, as 3G networks slowly grow on these shores, may begin offering tunes in the U.S.
Not much else in the works for Ericsson, other than that. It wants to clean out the shed if it gets a chance this summer and it’s planning on going to Tokyo to visit Sony’s parents, and we all know how that usually works out.
