HP to Acquire Poly for $3.3 Billion
The company once known as Plantronics, a longtime independent manufacturer of headphones, announced in March it was being bought up by tech OG HP for a total $3.3 billion. The FTC still has to review the purchase, and the companies anticipate the deal will finalize by the end of 2022, according to Reuters. The company was a leader in Bluetooth headphones back in the day, but in the end it could never compete with big tech.
