The person we're looking for knows and gets technology, gadgets, design and the internet crazy amazingly well. They're smart, and snappy, like cybernetic whips. That's you, isn't it? Sure it is.

Gizmodo's looking for both interns and night and weekend editors to start asap. Requirements for both positions are below:

Night/Weekend Editors

• For the night position, based in Europe or Asia (fluency in written English required! Obviously!) or a crazy-but-reliable-night owl. You'll be writing and editing from night time to early morning, East Coast time.
• For the weekend position, based in the US is bestest, since you'll be writing and editing during normal East Coast hours.
• Know technology. Know news. Know internet culture. Be awesome.
• At least two years writing about gadgets or technology professionally—for a website, a newspaper or magazine. Sorry kids, this isn't optional!
• A strong editorial sense: The ability to find the most important news, most killer image or most amazing thing at that very moment, package it beautifully and get it up fast. (This is super duper uper critical.)

The night gig is full time; the weekend gig, well, you know. The pay and benefits are competitive. The job will love you. Apply here: with the subject "late night writer" or "weekend writer." No attachments. We're really looking forward to hearing from you, if you are excellent.

• You should want to be a journalist or reporter or writer or something of the sort when you grow up—experience at a newspaper or magazine is A++++, will buy again
• Like technology and the internet a lot
• Basic experience with HTML, Flickr, FTP, Facebook, Twitter—things that people do on the internet
• Dedication. It's like, intense here.
• A decent laptop
• Over 18
• Ability to commit at minimum 20 hours a week, with full time being the preference.

The stuff you'll be getting learned:
• Research and reporting: Learning how to pull together lots of different kinds of information from multiple sources for editors
• Spotting stories: Learning how to find and pitch stories from multiple sources and leads
• Other, um, things

Essentially, you'll be learning the basics of writing about technology and internet culture. And very probably playing with a lot of gadgets. Oh, there is a small stipend, too.

If you think that sounds like your an ideal internship, grasshopper, send an email to with the subject "NY Intern" if you're applying for the New York internship, or "SF Intern" if you're applying for the San Francisco internship. Then, tell us a little bit about yourself and why you're perfect for the job, and paste your resume at the bottom of the email. (No attachments. Seriously. None.)

We look forward to hearing from you.
