Sony has just announced two new WEGA televisions, a 50- and 60-inch model for $4,000 and $5,000, respectively. These micro-display monsters—DLPsLCoS, really, but Sony has their own language that they use—offer real 1080p resolution as well as all of Sony's patented interpolation and sharpening firmware to make things all crystal clear and pretty. These models have HDMI inputs, three FireWire (!!) inputs, a VGA input, optical audio output, and a Memory Stick flash media viewer.
