Hands-Free Headsets Not Safer

By

Reading time 1 minute

An Australian company released a study examining 450 drivers and the effects hands-free cell phone usage while driving. The study showed that drivers were still more than four times likely to be involved in an accident while talking. This kind of puts a damper on all those laws, namely in New York, that prevent people from talking on the phone while driving. It’s actually hilarious: instead of putting phones up to their ears now in New York, drivers are pulling the Nextel move with regular phones, holding them up in the air and screaming.
